Services for Tommie Adkins, 89, were held Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001, at 11 a.m. from Good Hope Baptist Church. The Rev. Charles Barnett and the Rev. Benny Buckley officiated. Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery under the direction of McClain-Hays Funeral Home.

Mr. Adkins died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001, in his home.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County. He was a member and deacon of Good Hope Baptist Church. He was a retired truck driver for Ray O.Smith Gas Co.

Survivors include his wife, Audrey Nell Adkins of Philadelphia; one daughter, Ann Tingle of Philadelphia; two sons, Dr. Glenn Adkins of Ona, W.V. and Joel Adkins of Philadelphia; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Steve Adkins, Gordon Adkins, Larry Adkins, Eric Tingle, Donnie Adkins and Terry adkins.
