"William M. Cartwright, 74, 1014 Ferra Street, died at his home Tuesday, October 27, 1936, at 12:10 p.m. He was born in Fountain County, Indiana, October 6, 1862, son of William and Mary Baker Cartwright. A resident of Danville the past 37 years he was formerly employed in car shops of C.& E.I. Railroad.

Surviving are his widow, Harriet Dwyer Cartwright, and two sons, James and Frank, city; a daughter, Mrs. Bessie Vogel, city; two brothers, James and Harry, Veedersburg; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Redenbaugh, Muncie and five grandchildren.

He was a member of Grace M.E. Church. Burial will be in Silver Island Cemetery near Silverwood, Indiana."
