EARL J. ADAMS
Funeral services for Earl James Adams, 64, of Claylick, native of this city, will be held at 1 o'clock Thursday afternooon i th Guthph and Henderson funeral home in Newark. Rev. Willard Noce will officiate. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery.
Mr. Adams died Monday afternoon after an illness of one year.
He was born Sept 1, 1888 in this city, the son of George W. Adams and Elizabeth Joseph Adams. He had lived in the Newark area for the greater part of his life.
He was a veteran of World War I, having served in the infantry in France, and was a member of the Bricklayers union in Newark.
Surviving are his widow, Mary; a daughter, Mrs. Jay Pound of Glenford, a stepson Robert James Cherry, and fife granddaughters; two sisters, Mrs. Samuel Chester of Newark, Mrs. Fred Long of 2104 Blue Avenue; four brothers, Homer Adams of Newark, Herbert and George Adams of Columbus and Edmund Adams of Youngstown.
The body will remain at the funeral home.
