Dora A. (Surcey) Bellamy

Jonesboro – Dora Annis Bellamy, 71, of Rt. 4, Jonesboro, Boones Creek Community, died at Johnson City Memorial Hospital at 8:15 p.m. Saturday. She was born in the Boones Creek Community, having lived most of her life in Kingsport before moving to her present home about 13 years ago. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren and in later years had attended the Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Hubert Kyle Bellamy, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Sherman (Ethel) West, St. Albans, W. Va. and Mrs. Elmer (Elizabeth) Larkins, Okinawa, the Philippines; sons, J.L., John, Jack, and William David Bellamy, all of Kingsport, and Thurman H. Bellamy, St. Albans, W. Va.; one sister, Mrs. Blanche Matherly, Jonesboro; one brother, John Surcey, Kingsport; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Carter's Chapel funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Dora Annis Bellamy, 71, of Route 4, Jonesboro, Boones Creek Community, who died at Johnson City Memorial Hospital at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Westview Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe W. Byrd, the Rev. Tyrone Bellamy, and the Rev. Gerald R. Gregley officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
The body will remain at Carter's Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. The body will be taken to the church one hour before services.
Carter's Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
