Gate City – Carl T. Bellamy, 74, of Route 3, Gate City, died early Monday morning at his residence after a lingering illness.
Born in Scott County, Va., he was a retired businessman and was a member of the Chalybeate Springs United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Della M. Bellamy, one son, John T. Bellamy Sr., Gate City; one daughter, Mrs. Donnie Lee (Ruby Faye) Bellamy, Gate City; one brother, Jessee B. Bellamy, Wise,; one sister, Mary S. Bellamy, Gate City; two grandchildren, John T. (Tommy) and Donna Faye Bellamy.
Warren Funeral Home is in charge.

Funeral services for Carl T. Bellamy will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Warren Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Theodore Casteel officiating.
Internment will follow in Holston View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Arthur Bellamy, Kyle Calhoun, Faln? Falln, John C. White, Paul Wininger, Tom Wininger and honorary pallbearers will be Bob Bellamy, Gene Bellamy, Kyle Faln, Kemp Grimm, Paul Grimm, and Dean Snapp. Those wishing to make contributions in lieu of flowers may do so to the Chalybeate Springs Church building fund or to the Holston Home for Children, Greenville.
