He worked as an auto body repairman for many years and took great pride in his job. Those who had the pleasure of working with him appreciated his attention to detail.
Willard was a longtime active member of Freedom of the Road Riders, District #7, for many years. The camaraderie he shared with the other members was unmatched.
He enjoyed being outdoors. Fishing, camping and watching the fireworks every year, were among his favorite past times. However, being the "practical joker" he was, giving his family a hard time, was also fun for him. Making memories with his loved ones was most important.
Willard is survived by three sons, Jeff Dorrance of Lebanon, MO, Jerry Dorrance and his wife Marsha of Stotts City, MO and Kevin Dorrance of Buckner, MO; two daughters, Shelly Powell of Tunas, MO and Willie Hill and her husband Larry of Mt. Vernon, MO; one brother, Ralph Dorrance and his wife Gay, also of Tunas, MO; one step-brother, Eddie Brown and his wife Lou of Lebanon, MO; special friend, Donna Cole of Hermitage, MO; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Willard was a loving father, fun-loving grandfather, cherished brother and loyal friend. Those who had the pleasure of knowing him, will miss his sense of humor, but treasure the memories they made. He will be greatly missed.
