OBITUARY
David O'Brien, Superintendent of the Herald Press Room.
David O'Brien, the superintendent of the Herald press room, died at his residence in Seventy-eighth street, near First avenue, at nine o'clock last night. He had been complaining of illness, more or less severe, for some time past, and remained confined to his house by sickness since Wednesday last. The exciting cause of his death was Bright's disease of the kidneys; the more immediate, congestion of the brain. Mr. O'Brien entered the Herald service in the year 1851, and has thus been employed by the establishment for a period of twenty years.
