He was a retired rancher. Survivors: 2 daughters, Mrs. Jim (Mildred) Whipple, Drain, Mrs. Jerry (Jean) Whipple, Salem; 2 sons, George A. Oakland, Robert W., New Delhi, India; 1 sister, Genevieve Wilcox, Tacoma, Wash.; 1 brother R.B. Wilcox, Portland; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 P.M. at the Oakland Communtiy Presbyterian Church with Rev. Robert Brown and Rev. Ed West officiating. private interment will follow at the Yoncalla Cemetery. The family has asked that those who wish make donations to the memorial fund at the Oakland Presbyterian Church or to the Cancer Fund, in memory of Mr. Wilcox.
