Henry married Elizabeth Bridges in Catawba County, North Carolina on October 27, 1850. Soon after their marriage, they moved to Georgia where their 3 children were born. Susannah, also known as Anna or Annie, was born April 5, 1853 in Gwinnett County GA. John Wesley Robinson was born February 16, 1855 in Cherokee County GA. Mary Elizabeth was born June 29, 1857, also in Georgia. Susannah married James Madison Wallis and they eventually moved to Texas. She died in 1930 in Uvalde County TX. John Wesley married and had 2 daughters. He died in Cobb County GA in 1939. Mary Elizabeth married Orvil James Hause & they lived in Georgia several years before moving to Alabama. Mary died in Calhoun County AL in 1935.
Henry, enlisted as a Private in the Civil War in Lawrenceville, Gwinnett County GA in March 1862. He served in Company B of the 42nd Infantry Regiment, Georgia. He died of smallpox in Vicksburg MS on April 12, 1863 in Hospital #2 (or the smallpox hospital). His tombstone shows his name spelled slightly different and shows the date of death as April 11. However, family Bible records confirm his name was spelled ROBINSON and show he died April 12. Other sources, such as his Civil War military service record show his name spelled Robinson.
It is believed that later in life Henry's wife, Elizabeth, lived with her daughter & son-in-law, Mary & Orvil Hause and moved to Piedmont, Alabama with them about 1891 - 1892. Elizabeth died in Alabama in 1899 and is buried in the Old Piedmont Cemetery (also known as Cross Plains Cemetery) in Piedmont, Alabama.
