Margaret Winslow Brown, 61, of Idaho Falls, died Aug. 4, 1989, at her daughter's home in Idaho Falls of cancer.
She was born Nov. 16, 1927, in Caldwell to Tedford and Ula Elena Winslow. She attended the College of Idaho and Northwestern Nazarene College.
On Oct. 4, 1952, she married H. Dale Brown in Nampa. He died in April, 1974.
She taught school in Wendell and Moore and was a substitute teacher in Idaho Falls. She had worked for various businesses in Idaho Falls.
She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and Preceptor Alpha Epsilon. She was a past member of the Idaho Falls chapter of Writer's League and had helped with various youth organizations. She was active in Consolidated Hospital Volunteers.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Douglas (Elena) Johnson of Mountain Home, Iris Gillaspie of Sonoma, Calif., Mrs. Larry (Wilma) Bristol and Ruby Olivares, both of Idaho Falls; two sons, Howard Dale Brown of Boise and Wayne Joshua Brown of Portland; a brother, Dale A. Winslow of Greenleaf; a sister, Cathryn J. Bell of Moore; a step-mother, Dilla T. Winslow of Nampa; and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Buck-Sullivan Funeral Home with the Rev. Harry Bowlen, Alliance Covenant Church officiating.
A memorial tribute will be conducted Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the funeral home by Beta Sigma Phi Sorority with its president, Mona Sayer conducting. The family will meet with friends Tuesday at 10 a.m. until time of services. Burial will be at Fielding Memorial Cemetery.
