Charles W. Frey
Charles W Frey, loving and devoted husband of Frances, was born on July 25, 1883, the son of Mr and Mrs Ernest Frey, and entered into his rest on January 21, 1967, at 2:20 p.m. He passed away at the age of 83 years, 5 months and 24 days at the St Luke's hospital, Wellington KS. after a week's illiness.
He lived a happy and contented life on the farm where he was born and raised, He married Frances McMurry on November 10, 1907. To this union was born one son, Ernest Frey. who preceded him in dath on May 25, 1935
He was always anxious to help his friends when they needed him. He was humble, quiet and a ray of sunshine to all who loved him. He retired from farming in 1953 because of ill health.
Besides his wife, Frances, he is survived by his half-brother, Roy Frey, of Wichita; his half-sister, Dora Clark of Sun City, Calif., Many loving nieces and nephews and hosts of loyal and devoted friends.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Jan 25 at 2:30 p.m. at Hatfield Funeral Chapel of Belle Plaine, with Rev H.A. Kuhns of Winfield officiating. REv Joe Durham assisted and sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "God Be With Your".
Mrs. Roy Cheek was organist.
Pallbeares wee Beryl Goldsmith, George Goldsmith, Bruce Walton, Neil Austin, Roger Austin and Miles Austin Jr. Interment was in Council Hill Cemetery. Peck
