Peter Brauer, 63, a millwright, died at his home, 3425 Arline avenue, at 10:45 p.m. Friday after an illness of a year.
His death occurred on his 63rd birthday. He was born in Germany Jan. 9, 1879, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Brauer, and moved to Warren, as a youth of 15. He was married in Winslow to Hattie Thompson on Nov. 8, 1900. They farmed near Winslow until moving to Rockford in 1926.
Surviving are his widow, a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Berry, Rockford, and a sister; Mrs. Rudolph Hellwig, Warren.
Private funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the home of a sister, Mrs. Della Koch, Winslow, with the Rev. Eugene Shannon, Freeport, officiating. Burial will be in Rock Lily cemetery at Winslow.
