Funeral services were conducted Tuesday from the Glenila Presbyterian church at Calvin for Mrs. Marion W. Dawson, 53, who died October 9, 1964, at her farm home near Calvin. Rev. James Ford officiated at the services. Internment was in Corinthian Cemetery.
Jessi G. Harmer was born at Manitou, Man., on August 29, 1911, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Harmer, both now deceased. She came to the Calvin community in June, 1926, and on January 26, 1929, was married to Alex Holt. They farmed in the Calvin community until the death of Mr. Holt, in January, 1950.
On November 3, 1953, she was married to Marion Dawson. They had resided on a farm until Mrs. Dawson's death.
Survivors include her husband and six daughters by her first marriage. They are Mrs. Lloyd Boldt (Evelyn), Calvin; Mrs. Whitney Smith (Margaret), Woodward, Okla.; Mrs. Clarence Greiger (Mary), Tower City; Mrs. Kenneth DeJarlais (Jessie), Minneapolis; Mrs. Ole Syverson (Catherine), Moorhead; and Mrs. Jerry Hamernik (Colleen), Ulen, Minn.
Two sisters - Mrs. John Harboe of St. Paul, Minn., and Mrs. Elmer Nelson of Adams - also survive as do 16 grandchildren. Miss Marilyn Stone has also been making her home with the Dawson's.
