Zola Mae was the first born child & daughter to James William Coleman and Ida Catherine Bruner Coleman on June 3, 1882 here in Champaign county, Ohio.Stories told be her mother Ida, James W the father left them behind to follow his chosen trade ( minning* or crop harvesting as stories differ) and Ida would gather up her young children to follow after him. There for Zola's education was spread from Ohio through Kansas and Missouri and back to Ohio.Zola's siblings are John Pearl, William Smith, Mary Margaret ( Miller) Viola Augusta ( Shafer), Claude Alvin Coleman. Zola married Chester Powell Abbott on 12 March 1902, here in Champaign Co. Ohio
This union produced one child, Clara Lucille Abbott who was born on April 24, 1903
Zola having complications with another pregnacy leading to her death on July 5, 1921, in Champaign co. Ohio
