T.G. Adams, 81, of Winchester, died Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at his home. Mr. Adams was born Aug. 4, 1922, in Gainesboro, the son of Ernest W. and Mary Virginia Adams. He was a restaurateur and builder of Echo Village Motel. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of First Assembly of God and attended Hebron Baptist Church. He was a founder of Shenandoah Valley Baptist Church and God's Gloryland Retreat. He married Rosalee Fox on Jan. 24, 1943, in Hagerstown, Md.
Surviving with his wife, are a daughter, Frances Faye Adams of Virginia Beach; a sister, Frances Adams Unger of Stephens City; two brothers, Marcus M. Adams of Winchester and E.W. Adams II of Gainesboro.
A graveside service was at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Hebron Cemetery, with the Rev. George J. Reed and the Rev. Hartley Wigfield officiating.
Pallbearers were John Hayden, George Nethers, Dennis Brookshire, Jack Whitacre David Lynne, and Fred Swindells.
Friends called from noon until 8 p.m. Friday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, Winchester.
