Mr. Charles Benny Carter, age 77, of Benton died Sunday June 20, 2010. He was born September 6, 1932 in Ryan, Arkansas. Benny retired from Glazer Wholesale, was a Korean War Veteran serving in the Army National Guard and a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Opal and Agnes Carter, wife, Louise Wilson Carter, son, Robert L. Carter, and sister, Margaret Carter Jeffus.
Survivors, sons, Charles Carter and Ruey Carter, and Bill Carter all of Benton; two grandchildren, Benjamin S. Carter and Amber Leigh Carter.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Donald Jester and Bro. Mac Davis. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery in Alexander.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Ashby's.
