Arthur F. "Bud" Adams, 77, of Beverly, husband of Norma (Winther)Adams, died in his home Sunday, Sept 9, 2001.
He was the son of the late Arthur Sr. & Mildred (Lunt) Adams. Was a graduate of Wentworth Institute.
An Army Air Corps veteran of WWII, he was based in Italy and flew 51 missions, and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.
He was employed for many years as a draftsman at Varian Assoc. in Beverly.
He was well-known on the North Shore as a craftsman for his hand-carved birds. He was a member of Beverly Guild of Artists and played drums for several Dixieland bands on the North Shore.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, a daughter & son-in-law, Kim & Joseph Quattrochi of Groveland; a son, Peter S. Adams of Salem; several nieces & nephews.
