Daniel G. "Dan" Bailey, 63, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Memory Gardens Cemetery Mausoleum with Dr. James Hale officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.

Dan Bailey was born July 15, 1946, in Roswell, N.M., to Ethel and Ardie Bailey. He spent most of his life in Amarillo. He married Carolyn Turner on Nov. 2, 1968. They had two children, Brent and Dana. He worked for Santa Fe Railway for 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn; a son, Brent Bailey and wife Patti of Tulsa, Okla.; a daughter, Dana Ferris and husband Gene of Canyon; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Glen Bailey and wife Susan and Jerry Bailey, all of Clarendon; and a sister, Judy Veazey and husband Jerry of Amarillo; and many nieces and nephews.
