KENNITH L. DAWSON

Kennith L. Dawson went home to be with the Lord on November 21, 2007 in Vancouver, WA. He was born July 2, 1919 in Plainview, AR. He served in the U.S. Army overseas during WWII. After the war, he met Wilma Sutton in Arkansas and they married in Van Buren, AK on December 20, 1947. They moved to Vancouver, WA in 1950 and raised their children there. Kennith completed a carpentry apprenticeship and worked on many local projects, including schools, banks, bridges, hospitals, dams and numerous homes. He also completed course work in T.V. repair and had his own television repair business. His greatest joy in life was serving the Lord with gladness in all that He did. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Vancouver for 57 years. Kennith's desire was for people to know Jesus. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, vegetable gardening, music and singing. Kennith was a dedicated and loving husband to Wilma (who survives him) for almost 60 years. He was a loving father to his five children: Gail (Phil), David (Herse), Stephen, Mark (Dana) and Kimberly (Ron). He took delight in his 14 grandchildren (one of whom preceded him in death). Kennith was known for his love of the Lord and his generous and sharing nature. He kept the sparkle in his eye and his sense of humor even when he was very ill. His family will miss his constant love and prayers for them, but we are comforted knowing we will be reunited with him in Heaven. Services will be Saturday, December 1, 2007, 11:00 a.m., at Trinity Baptist Church, 6700 MacArthur Blvd. Private burial will follow at Park Hill Cemetery. Visitation will take place Friday, November 30, 2007, from 9am to 5pm, at Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home. Remembrances may be made to Trinity Baptist Church.
