The Enterprise, Brockton, Plymouth, MA, USA - Wednesday, July 11, 2007 - Page B9 - Obituary: "Granville C. Baker, 94, resident of Duxbury 67 years. DUXBURY - Granville C. Baker of Duxbury, husband of Ruth (Schlinger) Baker, died Sunday at Bay Path Nursing Home at age 94. Mr. Baker was born Feb. 23, 1913, in Kingston, where he was raised. He had made his home in Duxbury since 1940. He was a self-employed house painter and loved hunting. In his early years, he was employed as a tack maker with McLaughlin in Kingston. Besides his wife, Mr. Baker is survived by a son, Granville Baker Jr. of Plymouth; a daughter, Donna Rometti of Franklin; and a grandson. He was the father of the late Philip Baker. He was also the husband of the late Blanche (Diamond) Baker. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St., Kingston. Burial will be in Mayflower Cemetery."
