Otto Adams, 76, Blackwater, VA passed away Saturday, June 23, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Adams was born April 11, 1931 in Scott County, Virginia to the late Cornett and JoAnn Barnette Adams. His son, George Adams and an infant son, Otto Adams, Jr., along with a sister, Bonnie Childress and a brother, Gilbert Adams preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife, Elise Vivian Adams, Blackwater, VA, sons, Larry Adams and wife, Lisa, Gate City, VA, Jimmy Adams and wife, Jean, Blackwater, VA, Kelly Adams and wife, Charnita, Fairview, VA and Tony Adams and wife, Debora, Kingsport, TN, twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, sisters, Ida Vaughn, Duffield, VA, Gladys Pridemore, Duffield, VA and Lora Hartsock, Hiltons, VA, brothers, Ray Adams, Duffield, VA, Kenny Adams, Blackwater, VA, Denny Adams, Kingsport, TN and Matthew Adams, Kingsport, TN and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday, June 25, 2007 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of his son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Jean Adams. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 26, 2007 in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Evangelist Kenneth Neeley officiating. The Lee Smith Singers will provide the music. Burial will follow the service at the Legg Cemetery in Pattonsville, VA. Greg Adams, Tim Adams, Kenny Adams, Howard Berry, Butch Childress and Michael Adams will serve as pallbearers. June Smith, T.M.
