Shirley F. Kemper, 73 of Cambridge, died Friday (May 2, 2008) at her home.
She was born on April 4, 1935, in Carmi, Ill., daughter of the late Daniel S. Morrill and Lola Elizabeth (Murphy) Morill.
Mrs. Kemper was a retired housekeeper for the Holiday Inn. She attended Quaker City Baptist Church.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, Gene Robert Kemper, on July 29, 1978; a son, Ricky Kemper; two sisters, Eunice Rhein and Christina Dyehouse; and a brother, David Morrill.
She leaves four sons, Jimmy Kemper, Mark Kemper, Jeff (Rebecca) Kemper and Alvin Kemper, all of Cambridge; a sister, Phoebe Clark of Carmi, Ill.; three brothers, Tommy Morrill of Eden, Okla., James Morrill of San Leandro, Calif., and Bob Morrill of Carmi, Ill.; two grandsons, Brandon and Gene; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Bundy-Law Funeral Home, Cambridge, Ohio.
A graveside service was held at noon CST Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi, Ill.
