Lois Anne (Wierts) Hendrick, age 63, of Madison, Tennessee, died at home on Friday, November 23, 2012 after a brave 15 month fight against ovarian cancer. She was born on May 13th, 1949 in Tacoma Park, Maryland. Her parents, Paul Hubert Wierts and Jeanne (Hancock) Wierts preceded her in death. She lived all of her adult life in Madison, TN.

Lois graduated from Collegedale Academy and Southern College (both near Chattanooga, TN). She was a registered nurse for 41 years with what was formerly Madison Hospital but is now HCA Skyline Campus. She was also a specialized diabetes educator.

She married Roger G. Hendrick in September of 1981. This marriage added two more daughters to her life, as well as a wonderful husband and best friend. She and Roger enjoyed 31 years of marriage and were inseparable. Their marriage was an example of devotion and love to those around them.

She enjoyed bird-watching, camping, boating, eating out and spending time with her husband, daughters and grandchildren, as well as her close friends.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Roger Hendrick, her daughters Chanin Hendrick Barfield (Anthony Barfield), Staci Myers Harrub (Kevin Harrub), Tania Hendrick Haynes (Craig Haynes), and Jennifer Myers Ruiz (Jairo Ruiz), her 10 grandchildren, Noah and Grace Harrub, Hugo Marshall, Vincent Ruiz, Tucker Irwin, Ashley and Alyson Haynes, Caitlyn and Jacob Thompson, and Delanie Barfield, her great grandson, Jalen Allen, and her sisters Kathy Wierts Mason (John Daniel Mason) and Paula Wierts Everts (Dave Everts).

A memorial service will be held in celebration of her life on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 4:00 P.M. at Madison Campus Seventh-Day Adventist Church located at 607b Larkin Springs Road, Madison, TN 37115.
