Born in Philadelphia, Elaine was the daughter of the late Elwood and Elva Leitenberger.
She graduated from Frankford High School and attended Temple Business School. She worked at Frankford Trust in the title department.
At the age of 22, Elaine married the boy around the corner shortly after his return from service in the U.S. Army. Elaine was the devoted and loving wife to Thomas Barnett for 59 years. Her life was centered around her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed vacationing in Ocean City, N.J. with her family and hosting celebrations for all holiday and family events.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three daughters: Donna Blizzard of Voorhees, N.J.; Carol (wife of Mark Rorabaugh) of Mount Joy and Lisa Barnett of North Wales.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, December 27 at Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, 2335 Lower State Road, Doylestown. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
