James Oliver ROBERTSON and First wife had one child:
THOMAS ROBERTSON, b. Abt. 1873, Texas; d. Abt. 1894.
James Oliver ROBERTON 2nd wife was Rosella JACKSON.
This is what Rosella (Jackson) Robertson said about her husband.
James Oliver ROBERTSON was a blacksmith, gunsmith, wheel wright and a clock smith. He learned these skills by working along the slaves at his mothers place. According to Rosella they move 13 times during a 12 month period. James and Rosella traveled where ever he was needed. She was quoted in saying that "the chickens were so use to moving, they would come up to them and cross their legs so they could be tied to the wagon."

James was about 18 when the War Between the States broke out. This broke the family apart. Charles ROBERTSON was a Union officer and fought with the Union side. James Oliver ROBERTSON fought with the Texas Confederate. He did not return home again.
5ft. 9in. tall, Gray eyes, Dark Brown Hair, had a dark brown mustache.
