Statement No. 88.
State Of Oregon, Tillamook County, ss: Mrs. Maggie Adams, of Garibaldi, Oreg., being duly sworn, deposes and says to be is about 90 years of age.
I am a Clatsop Indian woman. My father was a Clatsop Indian, who died when I was a child—small baby. My mother was a Tillamook Indian woman of full blood, who died before the 1851 treaty was made. I have been married but once. My husband was named Adams (he had also an Indian name I do not remember). He was a full blood Tillamook Indian, and he died about sixteen years ago, aged about 70 years. As the issue of my marriage six children were born, of whom three are now alive, named Emma Adams, single, and lives at Garibaldi, aged about 56 years; Jane Adams, single, and lives at Garibaldi, aged about 52 years, and Lizzie Adams, single, and lives at Garibaldi, aged about 46 years. The three that have died were never married, having died when young.
Mrs. Maggie Adams (her x mark).
We have read the above statement of our mother and solemnly swear the same is true in all respects.
Emma Adams (her x mark).
Jane Adams (her x mark).
Lizzie Adams (her x mark).
Sworn and subscribed to before me at Garibaldi, Oreg., this 15.th day of March, 1900, by all the parties.
