FRANKLIN D. BENNETT
Franklin Donald Bennett, 49, of Lawtey, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, following a brief illness. Born and raised in Bradford County where he attended Bradford County schools, he was the son of the late Troy and Floy Thompson Bennett, former pioneer residents of Bradford County. He was also of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Bennett; two sons, Wayne Bennett and Donald K. Bennett, all of Lawtey; one brother, H. W. "Buster" Bennett of Lawtey; one sister, Mrs. Norman Estelle Williamson of Macclenny; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 18, at Northside Baptist Church in Starke with Rev. James Starling officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Raiford under the direction of Starke.
