|Birth: ||Nov. 24|
This white marble piece appears to be one of three or four strips cut from a ledger and, as it is found among other components of one or more box vaults, may actually have been used as the side of a box vault or as a foundation footing. Why it was evidently cut down from an inscribed ledger is not clear. The markings on this piece are only a portion of the inscription, which appears to have said, in part: "[Sacred] to th[e memory of] / [NIC]HOLAS / Son [of] / N. S. [SURNAME?] / BOR[N] / [No]v. 24 [year?] / DI[ED] / Jun[e day? year?]"
