FUNERAL SAMUEL THOMAS EAMES
Funeral services for Samuel Thomas Eames, 80, Idaho pioneer who died Tuesday, were held Friday afternoon at the Fourth Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Milton Freeman of the Osgood Ward officiating.
Music for the services included: double mixed quartet selection "Oh My Father," with Mrs. William Oswald, accompanist, vocal duet, "In The Garden," Mrs. Russell Chappie, Walter Chappie and Mrs. Marvin Garn, accompanist; vocal selection, "Calvary," St. Anthony Hrmonetts, Barbara Anderson, Veda Smith, Anna Mae Jensen, Betty Hansen, Irene Kelly, Beth Orme, with Betty Brewer accompanist and group song "Sometime, Somewhere," Singing Mothers. Prelude and postlude music was played by Mrs. William Oswald.
The invocation was given by Bishop John Rawlins and the benediction by Samuel Hammer. Speakers included Bishop Milton Freeman, Glendon R. Williams, Frank Newman, Louis R. Bird, L. L. Hansen, President H. Ray Hatch and Morgan Eames. The family prayer was given by Garnell McBride.
Pallbearers were Warren Shelton, Lee Shelton, Gary Hansen, Darly Nickell, Harold Ames, Roy Avery, Cleon Avery and Orval Avery. Honorary pallbearers included David A. Smith, Aleck Warnock, Louis Oswald, William Oswald, Lloyd Jordan, Israel Call, Lee Marshall, Archie Barry and George Oswald.
The floral arrangements were made by Mrs. George Oswald, Mrs. Aleck Warnock, Mrs. Virgil Thurnton. Bearers were the Meadamer Lila Skinner, Lucille Avery, Edna Avery, Vera Newbold, Della Parkinson, Pontel Harris, Maude Harris, Vinnie Call, Marie Fullmer, Melva Stewart. Ethel Christensen, Sarah Williams, Esther Hammer, Rosie Oswald, Mamie Marshall, Viola Wyatt, Ruth Machen, Mary Cook, Amy Stowell, Luella Hendrickson and Glenna Anderson.
The following grandchildren also carried flowers: Evelyn Shelton, Jerry Shelton, Sharon Hansen, Martha Ann Aames, Patricia Nickell, Lynn Nickell, Dick Nickell, Lois Shelton, Renay Black, Farrell Black. Buddy Avery, Merrell Avery, Thelma Avary, Idonna Avery and Delma Avery.
