Funeral services for Randall H. Alford, 41, of New Orleans, were July 19, 2003, at Hartman Funeral Home Chapel…. He died July 17, 2003, at New Orleans.

Alford was the former manager of Hawthorn Inn & Suites in McComb and a former member of McComb Rotary Club. He was office manager of Hilton Garden Inn and community marketing agent for Avenue Plaza Hotel of Fairfield Resorts in New Orleans.

He attended Walthall Academy, Southwest Community College and the University of New Orleans. He was a member of Silver Springs Baptist Church.

He was born March 23, 1962, at Tylertown, son of Faye Q. Alford and the late Harold E. Alford. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by several aunts and uncles, Maurice and Laura Alford, Dalton and Wilda Alford, Gladys Barnes, Donnis Lutrick, Floyd and Ruby Alford, Morris and Dot Howell, Norman O'Quin, Sam Gianforte and Edward Holmes.

Survivors include his mother; a sister, Esther Jane Alford of McComb; a son, Tanar Harold Alford and his friend, Debbie Alford Guilbeau, both of Tylertown; a niece and nephew, Tyler Scott Alford and Lauren Ashlee Alford, both of McComb; and uncles and aunts, Betty Ann and Bob Jones of Tylertown, Valerite Gianforte of Magnolia, Catherine O'Quin of Tylertown and Lucille Holmes of Holmesville. Pallbearers were Rusty Geller, Paul Barnes, Ken Barnes, Todd Bullock, Guy Geller and James Holmes.

Honorary pallbearers were Tyler Scott Alford and Lauren Ashlee Alford.

Burial was in Silver Springs Baptist Church Cemetery at Progress with Hartman Funeral in charge.
