She was born Feb. 11, 1961 in Rockville, CT. Brenda graduated from East Gaston High School, Mt. Holly, where she was 1979 Carousel Princess.
Brenda earned her BS in Nursing at UNCC and was a nursing supervisor at Emerald Care for 20 years until she was diagnosed in May 2006 with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). Brenda's courage and strength during her valiant fight with ALS was an inspiration to everyone she came in contact with. Through all her pain and suffering she remained in good faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Brenda is survived by her husband,
Ricky Lowe;
Two sons, Kyle Steven Lowe of the home
James Aaron Lowe and wife, Anna, of Charlotte
A daughter, Alyssa Nicole Lowe of the home.
Also her mother and father:
Joyce and Hershel Ellis of Mt. Holly.
One sister, Cheryl Waters and husband Chris of GA
Brothers, Bruce Ellis, Craig Ellis and wife Denise of GA.
A Celebration of Brenda's Life was held Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Stanley with Rev. Surratt officiating.
Burial was in Iron Station Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kyle Baker, Spanky Davidson, Kirk Wells, Rob Hannifin, Jeff Boughman and Mark Lackey.
