She taught at Pismo Beach and Fresno Unified and later received her two year degree in Horticulture from Reedley College.
Evelyn married Donald Haulman on August 19, 1950, at the First Christian Church in Porterville. They were High School sweethearts and recently celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary at Lake Tahoe with their three children: Lorine Ann Brakken and her husband Steve Brakken of Seattle, Brian Earl Haulman and his wife Francis Herbst of Nevada City, Nancy Dawn Spencer and her husband Robert Spencer of Sanger, and their six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Viewing will be held at Boice Funeral Home in Clovis on Friday, August 5, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. til 10:30 a.m.
A Graveside Service will be held at Vandalia Cemetery in Porterville on Friday, August 5, 2011, at 1:30 p.m., and a Remembrance Service will be at Clovis Memorial Methodist Church, 1726 Pollasky Avenue, Clovis at 4:30 p.m.
Remembrances may be made to the Clovis Memorial Methodist Church; Community Food Bank; or Clovis Botanical Garden.
