James Riley Inman was the sone of Jonathan Inman and Mary Hughes.He married Nancy Jane Gibson, daughter of JOhn Gibson and Thursey Eliza Day of Morgan County, Alabama. James Riley served in the 5th Alabama Cavalry (CSA) during the Civil War and returned home to farm following the war. Both James Riley and Nancy Jane are buried in Herring Cemetery, Massey, Alabama. Thursey Eliza Day and John Gibson are both buried in the Day/Speegle Cemetery near Battleground.
