Brenda had a hard life. She started using heroin long before I met her in 1984. I never witnessed her doing her drugs, but Sandy and I knew when she was high.
Brenda did find some happiness in a few things. She loved cotton candy, sun-tanning at Bishop Park, and her tiny dog Zsa-Zsa.
Brenda died in Wyandotte Hospital after many of her major organs started shutting down. She was there for the last two weeks of her life. At times we were not sure if she could hear us or understand us.
Long before Brenda declined, I remember telling her that I loved her, but she didn't think anyone loved her. Her mother was very cruel to her all her life.
Forever Peace Dear Brenda.
