Herman Leroy Allshouse, 8O, of 254 Union Way, Kittanning, died at 7:15 p.m. Monday in his home. Mr. Allshouse, a retired coal miner, was a member of Wilson Avenue Church of God. Born Feb. 23, 1892 Lowellville, Ohio, he was a son of Elmer and Alice (Syfiert) Allshouse. Surviving are his wife, Esther (Bechtel) Bowser Allshouse; five daughters, Mrs. Edith Culver of Warren, Ohio, Mrs. Ruby Bixby of Midland, Mrs. Ethel Raymer of Kittanning, Mrs. Betty Anthony, North Bloomfield, Ohio, Mrs. Mildred Mansfield of Romulus, Mich.; two sons, Kenneth of Belleville, Mich., Fred of Leavittsburg, Ohio; four step sons, Lawson Bowser of Burghill, Ohio, Owen Bowser, of Kittanning, James Bowser of Philadelphia, Charlie Lee Bowser of Portland, Ore.; two step daughters, Mrs. Fanny Striker of Lincoln Park, Mich., Mrs. Velda Schaul of Blairsville; two brothers, Henry Allshouse of Summerville, Joseph Allshouse of Perryopolis; a sister, Mrs. Mary Young of Pittsburgh; 48 grandchildren. A daughter, Elsie Gillam, two brothers and two sisters are deceased. ALLSHOUSE — Friends of Herman Leroy Allshouse, who died July 17, 1972, will be received at the Merwin-Kennedy Funeral Home, Kittanning, after 7 tonight. Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, conducted by his pastor the Rev. Richard Molgaard. The Rev. John Woods and the Rev. Freeman Mast will assist. Burial will be in Kittanning Cemetery. Arrangements by Merwin-Kennedy.
