Ralph E. Ackard, 60, a graduate of Carnegie Institute of Technology in 1910, died yesterday in his home, 601 Grandview Ave., Clairton. Mrs. Ackard was associated with the machine shop at the Irvin Works. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Nellie Lemmon Ackard; two sons, Ralph K. and William H. of Clairton; two sisters, Mrs. Belle Wirtz of Vandergrift and Miss Mildred Ackard of Pittsburgh; a brother, Gilbert of Wheeling, W. Va., and two grandchildren. Mr. Ackard was a member of the First Methodist Church, Clairton. Friends are being received at Finney & Becavac Funeral Home, 5th St., Clairton, where services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, with Rev. W. Marquis officiating. Burial will be in South Side Cemetery, Brownsville Rd.
