Jim was born in Lansing, MI and attended O'rafferty Catholic High Schol, where he played several varsity sports including, football, baseball and track. One of his Hight School friends said "Jimmy played tailback and was outstanding." Jim was handsome and popular with lots of friends. He was part of the drama club where he won a role in the musical "My Fair Lady." After graduation he was drafted in the United States Arny. A friend of his tells the story of how Jim wanted her to send him socks, but Jim was killed before she could do so.
Jim was killed by hostle forces on April 3, 1969. He is loved and missed by all who knew him.
