Jessie Nidiffer
ELIZABETHTON — Jessie Dunn Carroll Nidiffer, 85, Elizabethton, passed away on September 20, 2011, in the Pine Ridge Care Center.

Born June 19, 1926, in Johnson City, Tennessee, she was a daughter of the late William (Bill) & Dora Seaton Dunn. She resided in the Pinecrest area most of her life.

She worked at North American Rayon for 10 years, at Raytheon and then retired after 19 years of service at Texas Instruments. She was a member of the Milligan Free Will Baptist Church.

She was a wonderful mother and a devoted grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Dewey Gordon Carroll, and her second husband, Robert Gene Nidiffer; two brothers: Robert Earnest Dunn, William (Bill) Dunn; and two sisters; Alice Mae Dunn and Francis Irene Dunn-Bishop Taylor.

Survivors include a daughter & son-in-law: Shirley J. & Ted Mynatt, Elizabethton; Two Sons & Daughters-in-Law: Robert (Bob) & Lynn Ann Carroll and Lynn & Sandra Carroll, all of Elizabethton; A Sister: Mary Evelyn Dunn-Letterman. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren: Jill Naylor and husband, Andy, Tonda Gardner and husband, John, Christi Burleson and friend, Keith Buchanan, Chris Carroll and wife, Kim, Candace Carroll, Alex Carroll and wife, Abby, Cindy Maise and friend, Dusty Smith, April Smitley and friend, Brian, Jessie Carroll and friend, Brandon Hodge, Katrina Carroll, Amanda Kodak and husband, Josh, Andrea Carroll and friend, Shane Puckett, Andrew Carroll; 18 Great Grandchildren: Zach, Luke, Matthew, Melanie, Morgan, Dylan, Samuel, Aiyana, Summer, Malachi, Jacobi, Abby, Braydon, Karson, Kaydence, Gavin, Natalie and Kaylee; A special Niece: Sondra Dunn Foutch; and great nephew, Jeff Dunn; and special friend, Margie Bice. Also several other nieces & nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mark Street, Pastor Charlie Biggs and Pastor Ray Amos officiating.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in the Mausoleum Chapel, Monte Vista Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of a son & daughter-in-law: Robert "Bob" & Lynn Ann Carroll, 410 Lee Street, Elizabethton.
