'Accompanied Home by Angels'
Louisa Darlene Eresuma Avila, 64, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away March 28, 2003. Born April 12, 1938 in Highland Boy, UT, daughter of Leandro and Margaret Abeyta Eresuma. Married Louie Avila, July 16, 1960; later divorced, yet best of friends.
Graduate of South High, Westminster, and University of Utah School of Social Work, where she received her Master's degree.
Survivors: best friend, Louie Avila; daughter, Terrie Avila Carter and her children, Jecoa, Andre', and her ladybug Irie Shay of Salt Lake City; son, John (Shanna) and their children, Jessic (Courtney), Jake (Nicole and son Braden), Sarah, and Annie Avila of Snohomish, WA; son, Frank ("her baby") and his son, Adrian (Adriano); special friend of family, Lynn Mason; brothers, John, Bill and Lee; sisters: AnnaLee, MaryJane, and Gloria; nieces and nephews; and special thanks to Cyndie Eresuma Howard for the special assistance to her "God Mother" in her final days; many family and friends.
A funeral mass will be held Saturday, April 5, 2003, 10:30 a.m., Cathedral of the Madeleine, 331 E. South Temple. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Friday, April 4, 2003, 5-7 p.m., (viewing 5-6 p.m., memorial service 6-7 p.m. and recitation of the Holy Rosary, 7 p.m.). Interment: Larkin Sunset Lawn. (An open-house will follow, information from family).
Special thanks to the Catholic Center and all who tried to comfort MOM during her illness at the end of her life. We love you and will miss you.
