Blehm --- Mrs. Kathrene Blehm was born in Straszburg, Russia, January 22, 1852. In 1870 she was married to Fred Metzlar. Two children were born to this union. Mr. Metzlar died in 1874 and in 1875 she united in marriage to David Blehm. In 1881 they came to America, making their home in Dorrance, Kansas. They were both members of the Baptists church, but after they lived in Kansas for a while, the truth reached them through our tracts. In 1885 they accepted the third angel's message and united with the Seventh-day Adventists.
June 13, 1917, Sister Blehm had a stroke of paralysis from which she did not recover. Later, her husband brought her to Dalworth, Texas, where they lived with their children until her death, December 7, 1917. She reached the age of 65 years, 10 months, and 15 days.
Sister Blehm was a faithful member in the church. She was a devoted wife to her husband and kind and loving to her children. She leaves a husband, ten children, two sisters, and two brothers to mourn their loss, but not without hope.
She was laid away to rest in the Grand Prairie cemetery until the Lifegiver shall come. Funeral services were conducted by the writer.
