HAMILTON - Lorraine Louise Algie, 84, of Hamilton, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at her home in Hamilton.
She was born August 22, 1921 in Winnett to Alvin and Rose Marten Bratten.
She graduated from Corvallis High School. On May 28, 1948, she married Ken Algie in Darby. The couple moved to Seattle where Ken worked for Boeing. They later returned to Hamilton.
Lorraine was a member of the New Hope Church and the Hamilton Senior Center where she played music for 14 years. She loved to play music; it was her life. She had many friends and was known for her musical jam sessions.
Surviving include her daughters Jan Whitaker, of Corvallis, Linda Olson, of Hawthorne-Sultan, Wash., Margaret Johnson, of Kingston, Wash., and Denise Algie, of Kent, Wash.; brother Orland Bratten, of Hamilton; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
At her request no public services will be held. Private family urn placement will take place at the Corvallis Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton.
