Elza J. "E.J." Adcock
The funeral for Elza James "E.J." Adcock, 71, 2636 Mayfair, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Ryan Mortuary, the Rev. Bobby George officiating. Burial will be in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Adcock died Monday, June 22, at his home. He was born Dec. 5, 1915 in Harwood, Mo., and moved to Salina recently from Bloomfield, Ind. He was a civil service electronic technician for 24 years. Prior to that, he was a bulk agent for Standard Oil in Osborne.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bloomfield, Ind., the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Clara Belle of the home; three sons, Jim of Easton, Jon of 406 Scott and Joe of 1306 Hartford; a daughter, Patricia Stevenson of 411 Seitz; a brother, William of Pittsburg, Calif,; two sisters, Louise McKinley of Antioch, Calif., and Laura Baker of Lindsey, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
