Former Dewitt County Man Dies In Maroa Thursday
Samuel Taylor Arthur, 83, native of Dewitt County, died Thursday in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ernest Day at Maroa. Death resulted from cancer.
Mr. Arthur was born February 17, 1852, in Dewitt County and leaves the following children, Edmond Arthur of Lane; Nannia Roberts, Deland; Thomas Arthur, Williamsville; James Arthur, Argenta; Viona Baker, Weldon; Asa Arthur, Argenta, and Mae Day, Maroa. He also has three brothers, Edward and Bert Arthur, of Lane, and Sherman, of Springfield, also one sister, Mrs. Fannie McKinley, Lincoln. Three children are dead.
