Marie Brodeur 1931 - 2011 ORMOND BEACH, FL - Marie (Carignan) Brodeur, 79, of Ormond Beach, FL and formerly of Springfield, MA passed away on March 13, 2011. She was born in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield on June 21, 1931 to the late Roland and Marguerite (Bergeron) Carignan. She attended St. Aloysius Grammar School and graduated from Catherdral High School. Along with her late husband of 54 years, Maurice Brodeur, Sr., she started Brodeur Fence Company in 1952 and was actively involved until she retired from it in 1985. She later did bookkeeping for various companies in Florida, retiring from South Chemical Company of Riviera Beach Florida in 2001. Marie will be fondly remembered for her cooking, generous spirit and deep faith. She is survived by her son, Maurice Brodeur, Jr. of Feeding Hills, MA; and two daughters, Diane Graham of Dunkirk Maryland and Patricia Condercuri of Port Orange, FL. She was predeceased by a daughter, Debbie Foley, in 1996. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family would like to acknowledge the outstanding care she received at the Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center, 301 Memorial Medical Parkway, Daytona Beach, FL 32117 and the Hospice of Volusia/Flager, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129 and ask that any memorial contributions be made to either of these organizations. There will be no calling hours and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
