Married William Arthur [Uncle Bill] Allen in 1914 in Eminence, Shannon Co., MO.
Aunt Effie was my first Sunday School Teacher when I was a preschooler. Long before people believed that very young children could be taught anything in Church, Aunt Effie made a spiritual investment in my life as she taught me the Sunday School songs that I later taught other children; she taught me the Bible Stories, and she taught me how to pray. Many times it was just me in her class, but she was faithful every Sunday in doing what she felt she needed to, in site of what she must have felt discouraged at times, but she was faithful still. She was called to invest in the little girl who was the preacher's daughter, and her great niece. Her investment has never been forgotten, nor has it stopped. I have taught other children what she faithfully taught me.
God bless her for her faithfulness and investment in a small child when others thought it was a waste of time. God bless her for her faithfulness!
Until we meet again!
