Entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 12, 2009, Bertha Orie Wright Altine, wife of George Altine, of James Island.
The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. George Altine are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at the James A. McAlister Chapel. Interment, Bethany Cemetery.
Friends may call at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home 1620 Savannah Hwy. this Tuesday (14th) evening between 6:00 amd 8:00 PM.
Mrs. Altine was born in Cordesville, SC on September 6, 1919 a daughter of Jake and Maggie Cumbee Wright.
Mrs. Altine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who demonstrated her love for them on a daily basis. She will be remembered for her beauty, both physical and spiritual.
Mrs. Altine is survived by her husband, George Altine of James Island; her daughter, Diane A. SImmons and her husband, Jim, of Fayetteville, NC; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren as well as two sisters, Arnell Edwards and Janie Sims.
In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to Ft. Johnson Baptist Church 1473 Camp Rd. James Island.
