Mrs. Kate Ash, 91, of Route One, Steele, died yesterday in Memphis, Baptist Hospital. Born in Tennessee she was a resident of the State Line Area most of her life. She was a member of Oak Ridge Methodist Church........ Burial will be Number Eight Cemetery.

Her name: Katherine J. (nee: Fish) Ash, nickname "Kate". She was born Jan. 14, 1879 in Palestine, Obion, Tennessee. Died Jan. 11, 1971 in Steele, Pemiscot, MO. First married to Charles Wayne Wilson, widowed, then married to Raphael Luke Ash. Second marriage ended in divorce.

I double checked with Shelby County, Tennessee Register's office and Katherine Ash died in Shelby County, Tennessee 11 Jan 1971, age 91. address of Missouri. Divorced, female, white, Certificate # 02336.
