Jeanie Brem, 60 year old Denison, Texas resident, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2008 at her home after a four year battle with cancer.

Jeanie was born January 25, 1948 to Wesley Robinson and Flora Puckett Robinson. She spent her childhood years in Gober, Texas as the eldest sister of Joyce Ponder, Janice McMillen, and Nina Warnell.

A member of the First Christian Church of Gober, she served as pianist throughout her youth and accompanied her mother and sisters in many gospel events throughout the county.

She was valedictorian of the 1966 graduating class of Gober High School and after graduating with honors from East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas she became an elementary teacher in the Forney School District in Texas. She later earned two masters degrees, one in special education and one is education mid-management.

Jeanie married Ronald William Brem (Ronnie) on October 6, 1973.

They were the proud parents of Shane, Jamie, and Chad. They made their home in the Savoy and Bells area where Jeanie taught until her retirement in 2007. Jeanie enjoyed attending all of her children's baseball, football, basketball, track, 4-H Club and FFA livestock show, UIL and Choir events.

She proudly served as Secondary Special Education Teacher at Bells High School for more than 25 years. There she especially enjoyed taking her students on numerous imaginative field trips, including being extras in a movie filmed at Texas Stadium.

She served as President of Bells Classroom Association, District UIL Cairman, Special Olympics Sponsor, and Class Sponsor. Jeanie was also a successful entrepreneur and had a successful online business, CJS Enterprises, which enabled her to lend her expertise in the UIL competitions and provide UIL practice products for Red Comet and her courses are currently in use by students actross the country.

Jeanie was a devoted Mother, gifted teacher, loving sister, and wife. She was a beautiful woman with a quiet warmth and loving determination. Her smile reflected her sweetness, generosity, and sacrificial love for her family, students, and friends. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her.

Services will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at Bratcher Funeral Home in Denison, Texas.

Rev. Carey Ponder will officiate.

Interment will be at the Gober Cemetery.

Friends and family night will be tonight Monday June 30, 2008 from 7-8PM at Bratcher Funeral Home in Denison.
