James Peter Ackerson
James P Ackerson, aged 75 years 10 months and 11 days, died Wednesday morning at the Ackerson Homestead, near Clymer, where he had resided for 40 years. He was born and raised in New Jersey, but located near Pine Flates shortly after his marraige. He was a lifelong farmer and a highly esteemed citizen. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Emma Ackerson: three sons, Dr. L.E. Ackerson of Clymer, and H.F. Ackerson of near Marion Center, and one daughter Mrs. John L. Bence of near Clymer. Funeral services were held at his late home on Saturday afternoon by Rev. W.J. Sproull, of Penn Run, and burial was made in Greenwood cemetery.
