The son of Hiram Price and Sarah Walker. He helped establish and manage a brick plant in Ashland, Boyd County, Ky. Was a member of the Home Guard there and was a police chief there from 1862-1865. He was a UNION KENTUCKY VOLUNTEERS in the 14th Regiment, Kentucky Infantry. He never married and left money to several churches in Ashland, and his siblings.
